Hollywood Dreamin'

It's been a busy couple of months to finish the summer and head into the cooler months!

We had our annual camping trip in August to Yamanashi. It was beutiful weather and we had great views of Mt.Fuji . Josh and Kyle loved it all, especially playing in the water - although I think Kyle might hesitate to go in a boat again after he capsized and went under for a few seconds!!

At the end of August we had a neighbourhood festival (bon-odori).

In September, Joshua had his school sports day and we also went to a children's athletic park, full of different physical challenges, mazes and rides. All the boys enjoyed it!

October has had some great weather so we went to watch Sonny Bill Williams play in Tokyo. First time for Josh and Kyle to go to a big rugby game. SBW was a man among boys, playing a part in the first 3 tries as his Panasonic team won.

The local park (Hodogaya Park) had a big community festival and Josh was very happy to see all the emergency vehicles!

Meanwhile the boys keep growing. Kyle began walking around the end of August and hasn't stopped! He is always very happy and loves Joshua so much! Kyle has been working a lot and is now on national TV with his commercial for Morinaga infant formula eco-pack. He seems to have one or two jobs a week as well as one or two auditions - very busy for him and his mummy manager!!

Joshua is also very happy. He has a very funny sense of humour, with his latest saying "Watashi wa roboto desu" (I am a robot), in a robot voice and moving as a robot might. Josh is beginning to read and is also interested in Japanese hiragana recently. He also shows great promise as an artist, with great pictures of cars and people! I feel so lucky to see him growing every day at home and at school!

Aki will celebrate her birthday on Monday! She is great, very busy and will enjoy a day at Disneysea this week!

I'm also great. My training binge has leveled off with the final product being 74kg (minus 9 kg!), a slimmer, athletic body, and a lot more speed and stamina. I reached a new record for my 6km run with a time of 29m12s! I also started some sprint training and have reduced my 100m time from 14.5s to 13.6s. And my basketball has been a whole lot better - I got new shoes for the first time in years (Hyperdunks), grabbed the rim for the first time in years, and my team reached the quarter finals of the city tournament for the first time ever! Unfortunately we lost by 12 in a dismal effort, so will be looking for the semi's next time!
